2015 is upon us, and we’re making some changes to our practice night. And time. And place.
We’ll now be meeting every other Wednesday evening (more or less) from 7:30-9:30pm at Summertown United Reformed Church hall, 294A Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 7HN (just north of Summertown shops and opposite South Parade – map).
On 7th January we’ll be polishing up our dances for the Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival, and the next practice after that will be on Wed 28th January (or two days after Australia Day for those celebrating!).
Would you like to have a go at morris dancing? Find out what it’s all about? Or even join our side?
We are always keen to welcome new dancers, but we’ll be especially welcoming on Tuesday 21st October, when we are having a new members night. Whatever your level of experience, come along and meet our friendly team, learn some dances, and have some fun. There may even be refreshments!
We meet from 8:00-9:30pm in North Oxford Conservative Club, on the corner of Rogers Street and Middle Way, Summertown, Oxford, OX2 7LH (map). Looking forward to seeing you there!
Fiona Bradshaw and Jack Worth won the John Gasson Memorial Jig Competition, dancing a double jig to Just As The Tide Was Flowing performed by Jackie Oates. Watch the lovely video here.
